Your Voice was deveoped January 7, 1996 on the campus of Wasington State University by Dr. Lee J. Jones who served as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and Director of The Office of Multicultural Student Services from 1995-1997. The show was an instant success in the state of Washington. The show's first topic was Understanding a Multicultural Soceity. In August 1997, Dr. Lee Jones was selected as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at Floroda State University. He brought the rights of the show to Florida State University where he continued taping the show on Janaury 11, 1998. Several shows have aired in the sunshine network. The show aired over 95% of all its show on WFSU and now have dual airing at FAMU TV 20 and WFSU TV stations. Dr. Jones has also taped several shows at channel 7 (ABC) studio. The show has included international, national, regional, and local guests. The show has taped and aired just over 500 shows. It is the goal of Your Voice T.V. Talk Show to tape at least another 500 shows.

The mission of Your Voice T.V. Talk Show is to provide the viewing audience with responsible television production aimed at enlightening the community with current and relevant topics that affect a global world

- Purpose -

The Purpose of Your Voice is to highlight topics and people who address issues of diversity. Our aim is to present multiple topics that will be addressed in a formal, yet relaxed atmosphere. The show is designed to increase discussion relative to diversity. We create a forum where the viewing audience and the show’s guests are engaged in each topic.

- Goals -

To develop a T.V. show that addresses pressing issues of diversity affecting the larger community

To assist aspiring students as they seek to gain meaningful television production

To maintain a highly active presence in and around communities who might not otherwise get positive news.
